ETA Films is feature film production and finance company dedicated to creating high-quality entertainment.  The company is helmed by Eric Brenner, who has married his knowledge of both media and finance to satisfy distributor, consumer and investor interests.

Eric Brenner has worked in media and finance since 1992. He began his career in the motion picture industry in the development department at Sandollar Productions (Father of the Bride, Sabrina, IQ). After several years he pursued a career as a musician when his band Elephant Ride signed the largest new artist deal at the time with Sony Music. His band’s debut album Forget was produced by legendary musician John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and provided Brenner the opportunity to tour the country opening for well-known acts including Sheryl Crow. Mr. Brenner left the band in 1997 and jumped back into film production where he shepherded several projects through development and production. Among those films was the critically acclaimed documentary feature The Freshest Kids produced by Quincy Jones III and the independently-produced comedy Dirk and Betty starring Marisa Tomei, Thomas Haden Church and Eric Roberts.

In 2002 Brenner took his knowledge of raising capital and business management and formed Global Direct Marketing Solutions, which saw immediate success as a sale and marketing company. The company grew to over 120 employees and focused on the debt, mortgage and healthcare industries. At the end of 2005 Brenner sold the assets of Global Direct to a Los Angeles-based media company. Over the next several years Brenner raised capital and placed private equity in a number of opportunities both domestically and abroad. With a focus primarily on startup and expansion funds, Brenner successfully helped capitalize over twenty businesses since 2005.

In 2008, Brenner helped found Informant Media where he structured finance for the company. He was instrumental in the financing of Informant’s films including the Academy Award-winning Crazy Heart, Hysteria, Erased, Stuck in Love, Kidnapping Mr. Heineken with Anthony Hopkins, Sam Worthington and Jim Sturgess and Boychoir starring Dustin Hoffman and Kathy Bates. Mr. Brenner has also independently produced and sold several lower budgeted genre films including Amnesiac starring Kate Bosworth and Wes Bentley and Miss Meadows starring Katie Holmes. Brenner recently formed ETA Films which is currently working with debt, equity and production facility partners to finance and produce four to six independent films a year. The company wrapped production in Bogota, Colombia on Blunt Force Trauma, an action road picture starring Ryan Kwanten, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke. ETA Films structured financing and brought the equity for Misconduct which is being distributed by Lionsgate Premiere and stars Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Alice Eve and Julia Stiles.  ETA currently has several films in various states of pre-production, production and post-production.

Brenner also currently serves as Vice President of Finance for Cinetel Films which has a thirty-year track record of producing and securing distribution for successful genre feature productions.
